I’m a Marriage and Family Therapist, specially trained in working with couples, individuals, and young adult women. Some areas I specialize in are:
As a Marriage and Family Therapist, the philosophy I prescribe to is that negative behaviors and individual symptomatology are often the result of dysfunction within the family system. The goal is to remedy that dysfunction by:
My style is straight-forward, nonjudgmental, collaborative and relatively informal. I find that when my clients feel free to say whatever they want in the therapy room, the faster our work progresses. I will “tell it like it is” because I genuinely believe that YOU can change your own life, marriage and mind when the path becomes more clear and you have support. I want to empower you and foster your independence and self-awareness- putting you back in sync with yourself, your partner and your life. I’m influenced by Scandinavian happiness research- ask me about “hygge” and “lagom” in our first session!
I received my Master's of Advanced Studies in Marriage and Family Therapy in a highly competitive and widely esteemed program at Arizona State University. I am currently working towards independent licensure under supervision of Charise Schwertfeger, LMFT (LMFT-15133). I offer free, 15 minute phone consultations if you have specific questions for me prior to starting. I’m excited to hear from you!
